TERMS & CONDITIONS

DEPOSITS

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm and secure your order. Without a deposit/payment, your order will not be able to go through.

Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an invoice receipt via email. 

The remaining balance will be due the day before the delivery/collection date or paid in cash on the day.

PRICES

All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact design and the size of your cake. 

Price includes full consultation which can be via email or phone. I require a minimum notice of 2 weeks on all cakes & for more than 36 cupcakes.  

Following your consultation/enquiry, your quote is valid for 7 days.

HOW TO PAY

Payment can be made via bank transfer. Cash is also accepted when the final payment is due on collection. There will be an additional charge of £2 when you use PayPal. Cupcake orders and anything (under £55) will have to be paid in full in advance to secure your order. 

COLLECTION/DELIVERY

On the day of collection, your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time, as agreed with Clemeira's Bakery.  Extreme care should be taken during transportation. The cake must be positioned on a flat surface, such as the boot, or the floor of the front passengers seat - (seats are not suitable).

Sudden braking and sharp turns should be avoided and if the weather is warm, ensure that you have the air conditioning on throughout the journey.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the cake/cupcakes until its required destination. Please note that Clemeira's Bakery cannot be held liable for any damage to the cake/cupcakes after it has been collected. Once cake and payment is confirmed, the collection address will be given 1-2 days before collecting.

Cakes can be delivered by prior arrangement. It is the customer`s responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept the delivery at the agreed time and address.  Cakes should be inspected on receipt to ensure that they were not damaged in transit, as you (or any third party taking delivery e.g. venue/hotel etc.) shall be solely responsible for any damage which occurs after delivery of products or as a result of failure to follow any instructions/advice we may give in respect of storage, setting up or further transportation.

ALLERGIES

It is the responsibility of the customer to advise Clemeira's Bakery of any known allergies to any ingredients that may be used in your order. 

Please discuss if you or any guest has special dietary requirements. Cakes can be made Vegan and Gluten free.

Please be aware that although ingredients such as nuts can be removed from cakes, they are still used in my kitchen and no absolute nut free guarantee can be given, as some ingredients are not guaranteed nut free by the manufacturers. Any allergens in your order will be clearly labelled on the box. Please check carefully.

RUSH FEES

Occasionally I do take last minute orders depending on how busy I am that week-however there will be a rush fee charge starting from £15.

Please call me directly for availability.  

LATENESS

If on collection you are more than an hour late than the agreed time, a late fee would need to be paid before collection.

1 hour (£15), 2 hours (£25), more than 3 hours (£45)

Please note that Clemeira's Bakery is not a 24 hour business and the opening and closing times for collection are 9am – 6pm (Mon-Fri).

CANCELLATIONS

If you would need to cancel your order for any reason-as stated above, deposits are non-refundable. However, if you have already paid in full and work has begun on your order, last minute orders/3-5 days notice (No Refund), 2 weeks notice (20% Refund),  3 weeks notice (35% Refund), 4 weeks or more (50% Refund).

In the very unlikely event of severe medical, natural, or other emergencies, where cancelling your order is out of your control, your deposit/payment can be transferred over into the next month for a future cake. Ingredients/items will not be stored for longer than a month so if you have not made an order by then, then unfortunately a your order will be cancelled and new deposit will have to be put down.

CHANGES TO ORDER

 The customer agrees that there will be no order changes to the cake request prior to two weeks before the delivery/collection date.

Change of date: If for any reason you wish to re-arrange the date of your event, we will endeavour to transfer your order provided the date is available, to avoid any additional charges. 

NON-EDIBLE ITEMS

Most cakes, figurines contain small proportions of inedible items: it is the customer`s responsibility to ensure that these are removed before serving e.g. Support dowels and thin cake boards in tiered cakes, wires in sugar flowers, ribbon, flower picks & tapes and any other parts discussed with Clemeira.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Do not store decorated cakes/cupcakes in the fridge. Store in a dry and cool place with the lid on. Please note that all Cream Cheese orders will need to be stored in the fridge.  Your cake is made entirely of natural ingredients, and baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event. It will not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives. Once your cake has been cut, it will last 3-4 days after your event.

We cannot guarantee quality if it’s consumed more than 48 hours after the event.
